The 139 Championship players set to be out of contract this summer
Big names from Aston Villa, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are among the Championship players who are currently set to leave their clubs in the summer when their contract expires.
There are a total of 140 players who are soon to be out of contract across the 24 clubs in the English second tier, including three ex-England internationals in Gabby Agbonlahor, John Terry and Michael Dawson.
There’s plenty of time for some of these to be tied down to new deals, of course, but this should give you an idea of who might be on the move when the summer rolls around.
Note: Players currently out on loan at other clubs have not been included. Information according to Transfermarkt.

Mark Bunn
Alan Hutton
Christopher Samba
John Terry
I didn't really want John Terry to come to Villa as I thought he would be just running down the clock while earning one last huge pay off. I couldn't have been more wrong. A winner, he's inspirational, committed and a true leader. Possibly most important signing ever. #AVFC

Nigel Adkins probably wasting his breath talking about wanting Michael Dawson to stay at Hull next season. He was desperate to come in January. Out of contract in the summer. #nffc still want to do deal and had agreed terms. Not much of a tug of war there, you suspect.

Semedo weren’t the best footballer, but he had the passion and desire to win, put in 110% whenever he played and got the credit he deserved.
Yet, Nuhiu is the same, not the best but has the most passion and drive at the club.
But all he gets is stick from fans. Baffling. #swfc
