In the weird and wonderful world that is football Twitter, BBC journalist David Ornstein has become somewhat of cult hero among Arsenal fans.
Ornstein built up a reputation with the supporters as a reliable source of information while others simply fuel rumours and prod flickering flames.
And as a result, the replies to his Arsenal tweets are flooded with memes, picturing the journalist’s face on statues, celebrating players, TV characters etc.
Often in the memes Ornstein can be found in direct competition with the Mirror’s John Cross, his main adversary, or occasionally Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solehkol.
And as he broke the news first of the deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, confirming the transfer on deadline day, as well as releasing news of Mesut Ozil‘s contract extension, elated Arsenal fans inundated him with hilarious replies.
We’ve decided to collect some of the best responses to Ornstein’s tweets, and they are simply brilliant.

Only the post denied us a ludicrous goal.
A throwback to Moussa at his best.
Who would win between Arsenal 04 and Man City 18?
Jose is pretty passionate in his response.
The most joyous player in the Premier League.
There’s a total of 20 to get.
Including a couple of notable sons.
You’ll be hearing a lot more about Allison.
Of course he meant it. He meant everything.
The second half of an epic challenge.
