The team and player stat leaders from the Champions League group stage
English teams continue to impress in this season’s Champions League, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all into the knockout stages practically unscathed.
The group stages drew to a close on Wednesday evening, with Napoli and Borussia Dortmund the main casualties as both finished third in their groups to drop into the Europa League.
Of the five Premier League teams involved, only Chelsea failed to top their group, with English sides winning 21 of their group games, and losing just three.
Liverpool have now won two matches by seven-goal margins after a Philippe Coutinho hat-trick decimated Spartak Moscow in their final group game, while Tottenham must progress with the most plaudits, coming top in a group which included Dortmund and Real Madrid.
