Final - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 2 6
2 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 3 4
3 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 1 2
4 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Gollob picks his favoured gate 2, followed by Andersen in 3 and Adams in 4. A big hello to Carsten, who I believe is following the commentary from somewhere in Denmark!! Glad to be of service! Still lots to ride for here guys - it's a straight shootout between Gollob and Hancock for third place in the championship - and if Gollob wins the GP, the rider who comes second will take the final slot in the Super Prix! It will all become much clearer shortly...... Gollob storms away from the gates and wins by miles - the crowd goes barking mad! It's a bronze medal in the title race for the Pole and now it's onto the Super Prix!! To correct myself from earlier - Nicki Pedersen will take gate four in the Super Prix with Gollob already in the shoot out. Andersen completes a great night to take second, holding off Hancock

Semi Final Two - Result

Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 2 3
2 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 4 2
3 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 3 1
4 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 1
SUMMARY: Massive drama - Gollob is away and gone on lap three when Jonsson - stuck at the back - winds it on and completely wipes out Lindgren, who was riding a great race at the time. Hancock, looking to be on his way out in third, gets a second chance as AJ is rightly excluded. It's really hotting up!!! Steve in Harrogate wants to see the great man Gollob win the GP, the Super Prix and then buy all his fans at Bydgoszcz a pint of Zywiec!! Now that I'd like to see! Gollob does it the hard way in the re-run - getting away best but running so wide on the first bend, just making it to the front at turn 3. He's away and gone, but Hancock bags a place in the final and that third place in the championship remains up for grabs.

Semi Final One - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 4 3
2 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 2 2
3 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 1 1
4 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Andersen does the business with a great last to first ride. He gets to the front before Pedersen almost shoves him into the fence, and out of the blue Adams cuts inside the world champ off the last bend to steal second and keep Pedersen out of the final.

Heat 20 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 4 3
2 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 2 2
3 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 1 1
4 Harris, Chris (11) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Gollob again gets the crowd on their feet with a spectacular first bend as he scythes through the pack, narrowly avoiding the errant Jonsson who overshoots the first bend. That's four wins for the Pole who is looking quicker and quicker. AJ made up for his error by passing Andersen for second. Looking at the replay Andersen gave AJ an almighty shove on the first bedn - don't know how he stayed on.

Heat 19 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 3 3
2 Holta, Rune (3) Gate 1 2
3 Nicholls, Scott (6) Gate 4 1
4 Smolinski, Martin (12) Gate 2
SUMMARY: Here we go - d-day for Scotty. Greg's going to be difficult to get past....and that's the way it goes - Hancock gets to the bend first and Nicholls doesn't get the breaks, Holta is away in second and there's no way back for Nicholls. Great win for the American, who eases into the last eight, while Holta and Nicholls finish on seven. The Brit will have to wait on a nomination for 2009.

Heat 18 - Result

Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 3 3
2 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 2 2
3 Crump, Jason (9) Gate 1 1
4 Janowski, Maciej (17) replaced Niels Iversen

Gate 4
SUMMARY: Pedersen shows just why he's the world champion again, sweeping past Adams on the first lap to bag the points, while Crump is off the pace in third and won't make the semis. However, it will give him plenty of time to figure out where to find some pace for the Super Prix later in the evening.

Heat 17 - Result

Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 4 3
2 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 1 2
3 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (8) Gate 2 1
4 Pedersen, Bjarne (15) Gate 3
SUMMARY: KK leads early doors but Dryml looks fast and once he gets past on the second lap he's away and gone. Lindgren takes second and both finish on eight points. don't know what's happened to Bjarne....

Heat 16 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 3 3
2 Nicholls, Scott (6) Gate 2 2
3 Crump, Jason (9) Gate 1 1
4 Pedersen, Bjarne (15) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Nicholls looks right up against it at the tapes but shows balls of steel to swoop past Crump out of turn two, but Gollob holds firm down the inside to lead. The Brit is all over the Pole but there's no way past the great man on home shale. It means Scotty is two behind Holta - and the pair clash in the final heat. Great race.

Heat 15 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 4 3
2 Holta, Rune (3) Gate 2 2
3 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 3 1
4 Janowski, Maciej (17) replaced Niels Iversen

Gate 1
SUMMARY: Andersen's been looking good all night and he gains a deserved first win with great first lap that sees him pick up dirt to pass Holta on the inner. Andersen could make it to the Super Prix, you know. Holta picks up two points though, taking him four points ahead of Nicholls in the race for eighth place.

Heat 14 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 2 3
2 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 1 2
3 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (8) Gate 3 1
4 Harris, Chris (11) Gate 4
SUMMARY: The 'Voice of Swindon' Chris is cheering on Adams to book his place in the Super Prix, but he's got no answer to Hancock's pace as the American bounces back from a duck egg. Adams holds of KK for two points while Harris once again looks flattered by his earlier win and trails home in last.

Heat 13 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 3 3
2 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 1 2
3 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 4 1
4 Smolinski, Martin (12) Gate 2
SUMMARY: We take a break as they grade the track. Emily in Exeter is bigging up the British pair while Andrew is hoping Leigh Adams wins the Super Prix to make up for a disappointing campaign. Keep your thoughts coming in! adam.norman@bskyb.com Jonsson looks good again as he beats the newly crowned champ to win his third race of the night. Smolinski led on the first lap but soon finds himself at the back as Pedersen and Lindgren go past.

Heat 12 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 2 3
2 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 3 2
3 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 4 1
4 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 1
SUMMARY: All four called back after a twitchy start that sees Hancock and Gollob do well to avoid touching the tapes. The re-run sees Gollob come good with a devil-may-care ride round the fence before taking Dryml on the inside on turn three. Hancock led at the first turn but slips back to fourth and Pedersen makes up ground, although Dryml shows plenty of fight to retain second place. Crowd goes mad for Gollob, who is chasing third place in the championship and makes up two points in Hancock, currently in the bronze medla position.

Heat 11 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 4 3
2 Crump, Jason (9) Gate 2 2
3 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (8) Gate 1 1
4 Zengota, Grzegorz (18) replaced Rune Holta

Gate 3
SUMMARY: Disaster for Nicholls' rival Holta, who tried to jump the start and touches the tapes, forcing his exclusion. That's pressure right there. I agree with Andrew Fisher, who says Nicholls should not come back next year if he misses out on the top eight. I believe the brit has the skills but not the mental aptitude for the highest level. Meanwhile, Jonsson makes the outside work for him as he cuts inside Crump going into turn three and leaves Crump in his wake. KK pressures Crump all the way but has to settle for the point.

Heat 10 - Result

1 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 4 3
2 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 2 2
3 Pedersen, Bjarne (15) Gate 3 1
4 Smolinski, Martin (12) Gate 1
SUMMARY: Adams is on fire and sweeps past Andersen early on to record his third successive win. A below par struggles past Smolinski on the last lap to bag a point.

Heat 9 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Harris, Chris (11) Gate 4 3
2 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 3 2
3 Nicholls, Scott (6) Gate 1 1
4 Janowski, Maciej (17) replaced Niels Iversen

Gate 2
SUMMARY: Nicholls blows a chance to bag three points in the most dramatic race of the night. The Brit gets to the front at the first bend but over shoots, clashing with Janowski and nearly came off. He does well to battle back to second before Lindgren carves him up on lap three, crossing the corner and almost wiping Nicholls off his bike. Meanwhile, Harris is out front and just hold on with Lindgren and Nicholls all over him on the run to the line. The riders are taking a break after two rides apiece. Heat 8 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 1 3
2 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (8) Gate 2 2
3 Janowski, Maciej (17) replaced Niels Iversen

Gate 4 1
4 Smolinski, Martin (12) Gate 3
SUMMARY: Gollob has clearly sorted his bike problems out and a decent start sets him on the way to beating a weak line-up. Janowksi briefly threatens coming out of turn 2 but Kasprzak passes him on the inside and holds second place with the German Smolinski well off the pace.

Heat 7 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 3 3
2 Holta, Rune (3) Gate 4 2
3 Pedersen, Bjarne (15) Gate 2 1
4 Harris, Chris (11) Gate 1
SUMMARY: Nicki Pedersen is crowned world champion after a dream start and he powers clear to confirm his second successive title. Holta bags second with great first bend - that won't please Nicholls - with Bjarne Pedersen and Harris off the pace.

Heat 6 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 3 3
2 Nicholls, Scott (6) Gate 4 2
3 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 1 1
4 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 2
SUMMARY: Nicholls needs a flyer from the outside - he misses it but a fantastic cut back and surge down the back straight takes him past Jonsson into second place. Adams is away out in front but the Brit does fantastically well to hold off the Swede who is all over him but can't get past.

Heat 5 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 1 3
2 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 3 2
3 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 2 1
4 Crump, Jason (9) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Disaster for Crump as he gets pushed wide on the opening bend and gets filled in by the others. Hancock shows his speed once again and does well to fend off Andersen, who also looks on top of his game.

Heat 4 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Jonsson, Andreas (14) Gate 2 3
2 Hancock, Greg (13) Gate 4 2
3 Pedersen, Bjarne (15) Gate 1 1
4 Janowski, Maciej (17) replaced Niels Iversen

Gate 3
SUMMARY: Jonsson, who rides for Bydgoszcz and has threatened to become a naturalised Pole following a dispute with the Swedish federation, shows great speed to draw away from Hancock with Pedersen in third.

Heat 3 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Crump, Jason (9) Gate 3 3
2 Dryml, Lukas (10) Gate 1 2
3 Harris, Chris (11) Gate 2 1
4 Smolinski, Martin (12) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Harris gets squeezed up at the first bend and takes a soft fall...all four back. Crump looks good in collecting the three points, with Dryml and Harris dutifully following in behind. Not much sign of overtaking yet.

Heat 2 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Pedersen, Nicki (7) Gate 2 3
2 Andersen, Hans (5) Gate 1 2
3 Nicholls, Scott (6) Gate 3 1
4 Kasprzak, Krzysztof (8) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Pedersen makes blue work again but was pressured all the way by Andersen. Nicholls missed the kick but passed the Pole on the opening bend to match Holta's point in the opener. The Brit needs to beat Holta by four points tonight to stand any chance of making the top eight.

Heat 1 - Result

Speedway results
Placing Racer Gate Points
1 Adams, Leigh (2) Gate 2 3
2 Lindgren, Fredrik (1) Gate 1 2
3 Holta, Rune (3) Gate 3 1
4 Gollob, Tomsz (4) Gate 4
SUMMARY: Adams makes a great first bend to forge ahead of Lindgren and Holta - Gollob has a disappointing start in front of his home fans with bike problems seeing him pack up at halfway after a poor start. Welcome to Bydgoszcz for the delayed final round of the Grand Prix series. Nicki Pedersen is on the brink of another world title while Britain's Scott Nicholls needs a good night to win a place in the top eight for next year's series. We also have the big money Super Prix final, with one rider joining Jason Crump, Rune Holta and Tomasz Gollob to ride for $120,000. Keep it here for live updates throughout the night!! Niels-Kristian Iversen is out injured so Maciej Janowski will take over as reserve. Email me with your thoughts at adam.norman@bskyb.com.
