We often think of footballers as superheroes, capable of things we can only dream of – but Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea players have all proved they can be just as rubbish as us too.
One of the best examples in the Premier League came in a match between Birmingham City and Aston Villa. Undeterred by the tension of the fierce derby, David Dunn attempted a rabona, miss-kicked the ball and fell flat on his face.
The former England midfielder later told The Guardian: “My little boy will have it on a Christmas blooper video somewhere, I’m sure, but the biggest blow is that I could have retired if I’d got royalties for every time it’s shown.”
Since it’s Dunn’s birthday, we thought we’d make him feel a bit better and recall a few more instances of when footballers embarrassed themselves.
But there’s only one place to start…

A worry for club and country.
Arsene gave plenty of youngsters a chance.
A real sight to behold.
Only three currently play for the club.
Is relegation such a disaster?
Is there anything better than a keeper scoring?
The real Twitter King.
The past can inspire Roma and Liverpoo’s present.
Some seriously fast speeds have been recorded.
Only five players have done it since 1990.
