Alves’ goal – which could hardly come on a bigger stage and in a bigger game – put Barcelona 2-0 on the night, and while Real Madrid pulled two goals back in the second half, the Catalan giants progressed in the Copa Del Rey thanks to a 4-3 victory on aggregate.
