Philippe Coutinho may be in excellent form this season but his Liverpool future remains unclear – and it’s a subject which clearly bothers Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Coutinho produced yet another masterful display in Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday, scoring an excellent opener and also providing the assist for Roberto Firmino’s final goal.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the summer and missed the start of the season, but has been in superb form since his return with 10 goals and seven assists to his name.
Barcelona are widely expected to make another move for the 25-year-old next summer, which was put to Coutinho in the post-match interview with Sky Sports.
At this point Oxlade-Chamberlain stepped in to defend his team-mate, and we can’t help but love this.

A rare Newcastle positive.
Seven are currently playing in the PL.
Ronaldinho would have been proud.
Would he fit into such a strong side?
More footballers should follow his lead.
We really wish we went on this England trip.
Ryan Garry suffered some incredibly bad luck.
Football is more than just a game.
And we thought the West Ham list was bad…
Chelsea really enjoy the January window.
