Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have scored some of the most spectacular Premier League goals in recent years – and Crystal Palace‘s Wayne Hennessey has been on the wrong end of many of them.
Hennessey was beaten by Nemanja Matic as he hit a stunning 25-yard volley to see United snatch a late victory at Selhurst Park on Monday.
And one Twitter user spotted that it wasn’t the first time Hennessey has been beaten by a Goal of the Season contender.
Dele Alli’s 2015-16 Goal of the Season winner was scored at Selhurst, with Hennessey unable to get anywhere near the fine strike into the bottom corner.
Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick which won the 2016-17 award also came against the Wales international, as did the free-kick scored by Dmitri Payet which somehow nestled right in the top corner at Upton Park.
And then not to mention Andy Carroll’s phenomenal overhead kick – which came just two weeks after Giroud’s stunner – which once more left Hennessey with no chance.
Watch them all below.
