In the debate around the greatest player of all time, the candidates suggested are usually goalscorers, with Ronaldo and Lionel Messi now mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Diego Maradona and Pele, but Zidane often enters into the conversation despite playing his whole career as a midfielder.
