Goal/assist/chance creation of Premier League’s top six attacks compared

Tottenham once again had one of their forwards to thank for victory on Wednesday as Christian Eriksen came up with the winner at Crystal Palace.

Spurs have the meanest defence in the Premier League this season, and when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net at the other end they have three players in Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Alli they can rely on.

Tottenham have undoubtedly been the best team in the Premier League since the turn of the year, having collected more points, won more games, scored more goals and conceded fewer than any other team – and their front three have been a major part of that.

But how do they compare over the whole season with the rest of the top six? We took a look at the stats, using the three forwards from each team to have made the most league appearances.

Once again, the stats reflect brilliantly on Kane, Alli and Eriksen, who have recorded more goals, assists and chances created than any other front three in the Premier League’s top six.

While different teams have different demands for their forward players, the stats also highlight one reason why both Manchester clubs have failed to live up to expectations this season – with both attacks ranking in the bottom two for each category.
