We’ve compiled a quiz featuring 20 different footballers who have played in the Champions League, and we’re setting you the challenge of naming them all.

Some are less obscure – one of them even scored in a final – so strong scores are achievable, but we’ve gone for a range of difficulties, featuring fringe players that represented some of Europe’s biggest clubs to key players at sides that punched above their weight with memorable Champions League runs. The surname will suffice for every player.
