11 things we loved this week: Saul, Ramsey, Robertson, Payet, Ba
Arsenal and Liverpool players made us smile this week, while former Chelsea and West Ham players also caught our eye.
A host of matches were played across Europe this week with knockout ties in both the Champions League and Europa League.
As a result a number of sumptuous goals were scored, including one of the classiest free-kicks we’ve ever seen.
Saul Niguez
The midfielder appeared desperate to pass the ball to somebody as he broke away for Atletico Madrid against Lokomotiv Moscow. Nothing was on, so he just spanked it into the net instead.
Aaron Ramsey
Can’t we see this Arsenal more often?
Danny Welbeck
Sorry, Danny…
Arsenal
Want to see Henrikh Mkhitaryan signing ‘Oh Mickey you’re so fine’? Then you’ll thoroughly enjoy this video.
Claudio Pizarro
The striker has now scored a Bundesliga goal in each of the last 20 years, meaning we’ve been treated to this compilation of a goal from each year.
Andrew Robertson
A young Liverpool fan and a young Liverpool player being absolutely mint. Lovely stuff.
Here are some other examples of footballers’ good deeds.

Lucas Vazquez is used to setting up goals for Cristiano Ronaldo, and now he’s even assisting Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
Domenico Criscito
This is the nicest free-kick you will see all week.
Marseille
The French outfit’s build-up play for Dimitri Payet’s goal against Athletico Bilbao was incredibly pleasing.

Demba Ba
Now playing for Turkish club Göztepe, Ba showed he’s still got an eye for goal.
