11 things we loved this weekend: Milner, Keane, Aguero & more

This weekend more than any other seemed to show that football funs are starting to lose their minds slightly amid the absence of the game.
The Premier League took centre stage once again, sort of, with a FIFA tournament between some of the competition’s star players, which became far more dramatic than we imagined.
We’ve rounded up everything that caught our eye this weekend.
Diogo Jota
We have found a kindred spirit.

Sergio Aguero
We’ve all been there.

Newell’s Old Boys
The Argentine club are looking after their own.
The club has started to deliver essential items to members over the age of 65.
PPE, disinfectant and basic foods are some of the items included.
A special phone number is also given to elderly fans who can contact the club in an emergency.

Borussia Monchengladbach
If the fans can’t be there in person, they’ll make sure they’re there in spirit.
Borussia Monchengladbach fans have paid for cardboard cutouts of themselves to fill the stadium if Bundesliga matches resume behind closed doors.

Ronaldo, Rooney & Tevez
Every goal the trio scored in 2007-08. Their stats that season were frightening.
Roy Keane
Lesson number one: Never joke about Keane’s beard.

Two of our favourite people.
Classic albums as football shirts
A thread well worth your time. We can’t stop imagining David Seaman in the Beastie Boys.

Eric Cantona & Gary McAllister
Could you get more different vibes?
Manchester United
One of the most 90s videos we’ve ever seen, but hidden in there are some moments of brilliance from Eric Cantona and Ryan Giggs.
The Beta Band
With our fingers as ever on the pulse, we’ve become slightly obsessed with a band that split up 16 years ago. Here’s a great song for you to start your week with…
