11 things we loved this weekend: Shaqiri, Messi, Dortmund, Fellaini…

Liverpool vs Manchester United took top billing in the Premier League this weekend, but there was a host of eye-catching action around Europe.
The biggest headlines from the weekend came from Anfield, where Liverpool beat Manchester United 3-1 to return to the top of the league and heap more misery on Jose Mourinho.
We’ve rounded up the best of the action on and off the pitch from around the world, starting on Merseyside.

Gerard Pique
Playing centre-back for Barcelona looks really fun.
Borrusia Dortmund
Playing football for Borussia Dortmund looks really fun.
This is just brilliant π
Dortmund's opening goal vs Werder Bremen was a clever and well rehearsed free-kick routine…
You see Guerreiro and Reus discuss it, sell the fake so well, then deliver an inch-perfect cross for Paco Alcacer π
