13 things we loved this weekend: Guendouzi, Kane, Firmino & more
When we woke up on Monday morning to compile this feature, we didn’t expect to find former Everton flop Apostolos Vellios had scored a goal worthy of the Puskas award.
And if that doesn’t get you excited, there was the small matter of the north London derby, some more ridiculous goals and a rather splendid update on Kyle Lafferty’s adventure in Norway.
We’ve rounded up the best of the weekend’s action on and off the pitch.
Matteo Guendouzi
*That* assist.
The entire Premier League needs to be worried about what Arsenal has in the 20 year-old Matteo Guendouzi. Perfection by him and Auba here… pic.twitter.com/xlP45R6be7

Harry Kane
The man for the north London derby.
Harry Kane’s record vs. Arsenal:
• 11 appearances
• 10 goals
• 2 assistsInto double figures. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/59wJV9JuZ6

Iasmin Latovlevici
And the award for Goal of the Weekend goes to…
Surely the next #PuskasAward winner…

Apostolos Vellios
Forget what we just said, the actual Goal of the Weekend goes to…
Roberto Firmino
That awkward moment when you’re stuck between two team-mates who really aren’t happy with each other.

Josh Murphy
Not quite as good as Harry Arter getting sent off for diving, but still good.

Duvan Zapata
Who needs team-mates when you can do it all on your own?
Josef Martinez
The type of goal if you score on FIFA that suddenly has you thinking you’ve created Guardiola’s Barca Mk II.
CAN ANYONE STOP THIS MAN?

Domenico Berardi
Everyone’s favourite Football Manager wonderkid.
Islam Slimani
He may have ended the game with a brace, but he still managed to be ridiculously unlucky.
This goal-line clearance
Just look at it.
Kyle Lafferty
Nice to see him doing well in Norway.
Side-note; Kyle Lafferty joined my rival Norwegian team this week (20 mins from where I live) in their desperate attempt in avoiding relegation from Norway’s top flight. Debut today: Booked after 15 secs. Sent off on 77 mins. Team went from 2-0 lead then to drawing 2-2. #impact

Inaki Williams
This stat makes us feel quite tired.
122 – Iñaki Williams is the player with the most consecutive LaLiga games played in the 21st century (122). Milestone. pic.twitter.com/pxWV8zhtsz
