13 things we loved this weekend: Stam, Beckham, Coman, Ranieri…
Legends from the past kept us entertained at Old Trafford on Sunday – and there were plenty of current stars doing their thing around Europe over the weekend, too.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich legends reunited to mark the 20-year anniversary of the 1999 Champions League final, while silverware was handed out in Spain, Italy and Germany.
Here are some of the things that caught our eye…
Jaap Stam
Manchester United and Bayern Munich legends met again to mark the 20-year anniversary of the ’99 Champions League final and raise money for charity. But that doesn’t mean Jaap Stam was taking it easy…
David Beckham
He’s still got it. He scored too – and you can watch all the goals here.
Patrick Bauer
Horrible for Sunderland, but what a feeling for Charlton.
Robert Lewandowski
Two more goals to help Bayern win the DFB-Pokal. In 47 appearances this season, he’s scored 40 goals and set up another 13.
Bayern
The end of an era.

The new era looks pretty good, too.
Manuel Neuer
How are your reactions, mate?
Claudio Ranieri
He cried when Roma fans sung his name. And yes, we’ve got something stuck in our eye.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we love Major League Soccer.
