17 things we loved this weekend: Salah, Fred, Azpilicueta, Benzema
It was a controversial weekend in the Premier League as Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea all scored winning goals from the penalty spot.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of La Liga and Zlatan Ibrahimovic made history during AC Milan’s draw with Udinese.
We’ve rounded up the best of the action on and off the field.
Mohamed Salah
He’s the best player in the league by a mile, isn’t he?
14 – Mohamed Salah has now either scored or assisted a goal in 14 consecutive Premier League appearances, just one off Jamie Vardy’s record of 15 between August and December 2015. Remarkable. pic.twitter.com/r3Q1TBeU8r

Jurgen Klopp
He’s mastered Scouse. Not Brummie yet, though.
Yes, @PreeceObserver, Jurgen Klopp can hear you, but he certainly can't understand that Great Barr accent! 😂😂😂#AVFC #LFC pic.twitter.com/iXshPZ5tUQ

Raphinha
The perfect ingredient for a fixture like Chelsea vs Leeds.
Raphinha is becoming more and more Leeds every day 😅

Cesar Azpilicueta
But Chelsea and Azpilicueta had the last laugh at Stamford Bridge.

Karim Benzema
Real have effectively wrapped up the La Liga title already.
He was a doubt for El Derbi but not only is Karim Benzema fit to start, but he's scoring STUNNING volleys too! 🔥
