James Milner may have appeared for Leeds United, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Liverpool during his career, but he will forever be associated with the word ‘boring’.
One of the most consistent midfielders in the Premier League over the past decade, Milner has also earned 61 England caps, won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
But thanks to the Twitter account Boring James Milner, he will always be thought of as a dour Yorkshireman.
In fairness to both parties, there is an element of truth in some of the account, and Milner has been more than happy to play up to the stereotype.
