Chelsea’s most-used XI of the Premier League era: Cech, Terry, Lampard…

Chelsea have been one of the most successful teams in the Premier League era, meaning most players weren’t exactly desperate to leave.
They have been blessed with some great players over the years and several stars have made over 200 league appearances for the club.
Thanks to the help of Transfermarkt, we’ve compiled an XI of Chelsea’s most-used players in the Premier League, arranged in a 4-4-f*cking-2.
Petr Cech
Cech kept 162 clean sheets in 333 Premier League appearances during his 11 years at Chelsea and is the highest overseas appearance maker in the club’s history.

Branislav Ivanovic
Ivanovic became a cult hero at Stamford Bridge and had a knack of popping up with goals at pivotal moments.
He won three league titles and left Chelsea in 2017 after making 261 Premier League appearances.
John Terry
Terry came through the academy at Chelsea and was a mainstay in their defence for nearly two decades before joining Aston Villa in 2017.
The centre-back probably had the 500-mark in his sights ahead of his final season at the club, but he fell just eight short.
Cesar Azpilicueta
Centre-back, right-back, left-back, wing-back – Azpilicueta has played wherever required in his 262 Premier League appearances for Chelsea.
He’s also developed into a bit of a shithouse.

Ashley Cole
After joining Chelsea in 2006, Cole immediately cemented his position as their first-choice left-back, making 229 Premier League appearances for the Blues.
Marcos Alonso needs to make another 124 appearances before he can take Cole’s place in this team.
Willian
Willian has often been a divisive figure amongst Chelsea fans, but the winger has still made 226 Premier League appearances over the last seven years.
Dennis Wise
Just edging out John Obi Mikel, Wise made 261 Premier League appearances for Chelsea in comparison to the Nigerian’s 249.

Frank Lampard
Just the 429 Premier League appearances for Chelsea – nudging him ahead of Danny Drinkwater.
We’re not sure what he’s up to these days.
Eden Hazard
In Hazard’s 245 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, how many times do you think he humiliated a full-back?
Gianfranco Zola
Zola cost Chelsea just £4.5million in 1996 and the Italian went on to make 229 Premier League appearances. Now that’s excellent value for money.
