Unai Emery’s treatment of Mesut Ozil remains a hot topic among Arsenal fans – but what do the stats suggest about the German’s influence on the team?

Ozil has fallen out of favour under Emery in north London, appearing in just three matches in all competitions so far this season.

As ever, these figures are not definitive as they fail to take into account the quality of the opposition, the standard of Arsenal’s line-up and a myriad of other factors, but they certainly provide food for thought among Gunners fans.
