Liverpool have been linked with RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate – but how do his stats compare to their existing centre-backs?

Injuries have forced Jurgen Klopp into playing dozens of different combinations at the back, with midfielders like Fabinho and Jordan Henderson often dropping back to help out.

Konate, currently in the France squad for the Under-21 European Championship, is a commanding centre-back with plenty of potential and will be a serious long-term boost to Jurgen Klopp’s defensive options if he does arrive, even if he might need a little time to adapt.

We’ve compared the 21-year-old Frenchman’s Bundesliga stats to the numbers of Klopp’s current centre-back options in the Premier League.
