Quick Reads

When Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool in October 2015, he will have done so with plenty of aims in his mind.

Klopp has taken his side back to the top of the Premier League while transforming Anfield into a fortress, with the Reds currently unbeaten in their last 63 home leagues games.

We’ve decided to compare Liverpool”s home record in the top-flight since Klopp’s appointment with Manchester United’s record over the same period of time.

Liverpool

Goals for: 236
Goals against: 76
Clean sheets: 42

Points per game: 2.41
Win rate: 72.63%

Man Utd

Games: 95

Drawn: 30
Lost: 12

Goals for: 169
Goals against: 81

Points per game: 1.99
Win rate: 55.79%
Loss rate: 12.63%

Goals per game: 1.78

As the stats show, Liverpool average more goals and points per home game over the last five years and have only lost four games compared to United’s 12.

The Red Devils have kept just three fewer clean sheets and concede only 0.5 more goals per game but they really don’t match up at all in the other areas.

This shows just how impressive Liverpool’s home record in the Premier League has been since Klopp arrived at Anfield.
