Comparing Liverpool’s home and away record in the Premier League in 20-21

Liverpool‘s campaign to retain their Premier League title has continued in the same manner in terms of their performances at Anfield, but there are question marks over their away form.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds haven’t lost a league match on their own patch since Sam Allardyce’s Crystal Palace managed a 2-1 win in April 2017. They won 18 and drew just once at home last season and have maintained a 100% winning record so far in 2020-21.
But they’ve dropped 11 points on the road already this season, most notable losing 7-2 at Aston Villa in October. They only dropped 13 points away from home in the entirety of last season’s title-winning campaign.
Are they really performing that much better at Anfield? Here’s how they compare home and away this season in terms of the underlying numbers.
