Comparing Nabil Fekir’s 2020-21 stats to Arsenal’s current creators

Quick Reads

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal revolution continues to gather steam at the Emirates and it is no surprise that the attentions of some have already turned to the summer.

The 2021-22 campaign is likely to be Arteta’s first serious test in the north London dug-out. As a new manager, he has been allowed time to bed in and been given patience to impose his identity on the Gunners, winning the FA Cup at the end of 2019-20 before enduring some tough times in his first full season as boss.

With a season and a half under his belt, plenty of fans will start to expect bigger things and more consistent performances.

According to Estadio Deportivo, one player that Arteta is reportedly eyeing to improve his side is Real Betis attacker Nabil Fekir.

The France international has been linked with moves to the Premier League before while plying his trade in Lyon – most notably coming close to joining Liverpool in the summer of 2018 – but do Arsenal need him?

We’ve compared his La Liga stats from 2020-21 to the corresponding Premier League stats from Bukayo Saka, Willian, Martin Odegaard, Nicolas Pepe, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli.

If you like the look of what you see and Arsenal land Fekir this summer, you may want to back the Gunners using a unibet bonus code.
