How Cristiano Ronaldo’s great stats in 2021 compare to his last 10 years
Cristiano Ronaldo might not have had the most successful year of his career in 2021, but it was still one to remember.
He only managed to win one trophy, the Coppa Italia triumph with Juventus, but he still put up impressive numbers.
Then there was his emotional return to Manchester United, which happened suddenly and unexpectedly.
Within a matter of days from the first rumours of him moving to Manchester City emerging, he turned up in Manchester, but back once more on the red side.
He scored twice on his second debut and has already got countless vital goals in the Champions League – but there were bad moments too, both at United and Juventus.
Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by Porto in embarrassing fashion and he was also on the pitch when Liverpool smashed United 5-0 at Old Trafford.
With Portugal, he failed to retain the Euros, being knocked out by Belgium in the Round of 16.
He might have one more game left to play this year for Manchester United, against Burnley on the 30th of December, but how did his 2021 stats for both club and country compare to his previous ten years?
We’ve gone through the numbers to find out.
