Ralf Rangnick arrives at St James Park before Manchester United's Premier League game against Newcastle. December 2021.

How Ralf Rangnick’s start at Man Utd compares to his four predecessors

Since replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, interim manager Ralf Rangnick has had mixed fortunes in the dugout.

United have struggled to convince in almost all of Rangnick’s six games in charge and some players are reportedly struggling to adapt to his methods.

We’ve taken a look at how his start to life as United manager compares with Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and David Moyes.

As the stats show, Rangnick has had a very similar record at United to Moyes, although the current side didn’t score as many goals.

Solskjaer unsurprisingly comes out on top as the Norwegian had an immediate impact at Old Trafford and was ultimately given the job on a permanent basis.
