The Erik ten Hag era is well and truly underway as Manchester United produced an astonishing 2-1 victory over their historic rivals Liverpool on Monday night.

Ten Hag’s first competitive win as United boss was a night that will live long in the memory. United have moved above Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, a perfect response to their slow start to the campaign and a statement-making victory against a side that registered a 9-0 aggregate victory against them last season.
