The 8 Man Utd players out of contract next year includes top scorer & future star…
Erik ten Hag has done a fine job of laying the foundations at Manchester United so far and they will be considering the futures of the nine players who are out of contract in 2024.
The most notable name who is out of contract in 2024 is Marcus Rashford. The forward has been enjoying his most prolific season to date and has attracted interest from around Europe.
Rashford has scored more goals than any other United player since Ten Hag’s arrival in the summer. With 30 goals this season, United will be keen on tying him down to a new deal.
“No, it is not a concern for me,” Ten Hag told reporters when asked about Rashford’s contract situation earlier this year. “I don’t want to give a comment on the process because I don’t think it will support the process – but I’m quire relaxed.”
Along with Rashford, United will also have to consider the future of Fred. The Brazilian midfielder has featured in 55 of the games Ten Hag has been in charge for.
Plenty of his appearances during this campaign have come from the bench, but he has proven to be a useful player. He’s scored six goals this season and has provided six assists.
United also have six other players who are out of contract in 2024, although they do hold the option of extending their deals by a further year into 2025.
This option will surely be triggered when it comes to Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine winger has shown real glimpses of potential during this campaign and has a bright future ahead of him.
ESPN reported in February that the 18-year-old has agreed in principle to sign a deal until 2028. However, details surrounding his image rights have reportedly held this deal up.
