6 strikers Man Utd have been linked with: Kane, Osimhen, Ramos…
It’s no secret that Manchester United are in the market for a new striker in the summer transfer window and stars from Napoli, Tottenham and Benfica have been linked so far.
Erik ten Hag has done well with the players at his disposal, but they have lacked an out-and-out goalscorer since Cristiano Ronaldo departed earlier in the season.
We’ve taken a look at the rumour mill and picked out six strikers who United have been linked with so far.
Harry Kane
There’s plenty of speculation surrounding Kane right now as his contract in North London is set to come to an end in 2024. Along with some turbulence at Tottenham, it seems as if everything is lining up for him to move on.
Kane has been a long-term target for United and would be a nice fit into Ten Hag’s system. The 29-year-old has scored 21 league goals this campaign and is also a great creative outlet.
The Athletic reported in January that Tottenham are still keen on agreeing on a new deal for Kane, but nothing has been decided as of yet.
Victor Osimhen
The Napoli forward is in the form of his life right now and has subsequently been linked with several top clubs. Osimhen is the top scorer in Serie A with 21 goals and he has been one of the best players in Europe this year.
He has overperformed his xG by 5.1 goals this season, which has only been bettered by Kane and Erling Haaland in Europe’s top leagues. He also has an eye for the spectacular.

Goncalo Ramos
The 21-year-old was a star of the 2022 World Cup after his hat-trick against Switzerland. The Portuguese forward has also been in fine form for Benfica, scoring a total of 24 goals so far.
Record have reported that Ramos is frustrated with his current deal at Benfica as the club have not yet offered him a pay rise. The Red Devils have since been linked with Ramos and could take advantage of his current situation.
Randal Kolo Muani
Eintracht Frankfurt have a gem on their hands in Kolo Muani. The 24-year-old has produced double figures for goals and assists this season and he also ranks as one of the best dribblers in the Bundesliga.
Reports have claimed that the German club will demand around €120million to land him in the summer. The French forward has reportedly piqued United’s interest, but he certainly won’t come cheap.

Marcus Thuram
The French forward will be available on a free transfer this summer as his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach is set to come to an end. The versatile forward has scored 15 goals along with a handful of assists this season.
Manchester Evening News have clarified United’s interest, but they are not alone in their pursuit. The likes of Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Inter Milan PSG and Barcelona are also said to be interested.
Thuram has predominately played through the middle this season, although he can also operate on either flank, making him a useful player for several clubs.
Dusan Vlahovic
Given the off the field issues at Juventus, several high-profile stars could leave in the summer. Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported that United are in the ‘front row’ when it comes to landing a deal for Vlahovic.
The Serbian forward has scored 11 goals for Juventus this season and is their top scorer. With 0.45 goals per game over his Serie A career to date, it’s easy to see why United would be interested.
