17 non-league wondergoals from 2023-24 that deserve the Puskas Award

We love both non-league football and brilliant goals at Planet Football, meaning we’re absolutely delighted to be able to combine the two with the best sh*tpingers of the 2023-24 season.

From long-range missiles to beautifully crafted team efforts, non-league is rich with moments of quality that wouldn’t look out of place on the biggest stages football can offer.

And we’ve taken the pleasure of trawling through social media to bring you the best non-league goals this season.

Note: if we’ve missed any, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

Luke Benbow (Stourbridge v Kettering Town)

A goal that’s more delicious than the first sip of an ice-cool cerveza on holiday.

Matt Britton (Tiverton Town v Hayes & Yeading)

Tiverton’s social media account nailed this; who needs Wayne Rooney shinning the ball past Joe Hart when you’ve got Britton tw*tting an overhead kick with scant regard for the human being masquerading as the frightened goalkeeper in net?

Nicky Adams (Radcliffe v Lancaster City)

A lovely passing move this, as Radcliffe ebbed and flowed their way through Lancaster City on a sun-kissed evening in Manchester.

But the real dusting of icing sugar on this gorgeous cake was the orgasmic chipped finish by captain Adams.

Tom Broadbent (South Shields v Scarborough Athletic)

Never mind outrageous, they haven’t invented the word that could adequately describe this effort from Broadbent.

Sam Scott (Dunstable Town v Cockfosters)

A goal worthy of winning any game.

Nick Haughton (AFC Fylde v Wealdstone)

He’s made the goalkeeper look a right mug here…

Lee Wort (AFC Portchester v Tadley Calleva)

But not quite as big of a mug as this goalkeeper as Wort pulled his pants down from the kick-off during AFC Portchester’s FA Cup romp at Tadley Calleva.

We wouldn’t blame the shot-stopper if he considered spending his Saturdays playing competitive tiddlywinks from now on.

Kane Wallwork (Avro v Clitheroe)

Hit with the venom of a p*ssed-off boa constrictor.

Harry Short (Cwrt Rawlin v AFC Penrhiwceiber)

Jesus.

Gateshead’s 37-pass special

Argentina 2006 have nothing on this lot.

James Fairley (Newcastle Benfield v Colne)

That’s just naughty.

Ryan Blackman (OG, Farnborough v St Albans City)

Blackman could attempt this 100 times and not pull it off again.

Charlie Unwin (Chell Rovers v The Cock FC)

Give this man the Puskas Award immediately.

Dylan Kelly (Northampton ON Chenceks v Buckingham FC)

Brilliant technique.

Olly McCoy (Chertsey Town v Hartley Wintey)

That goal would’ve been illegal in some parts of Texas.

Ben Elliott (West Didsbury & Chorlton v Cheadle Town)

The goalkeeper acknowledged Elliot’s shot would have decapitated him and wisely elected to get out of the way.

Paul Holmes (Cheltenham Saracens v Long Credon)

*That’s* how you win a football match.
