Squawka have looked at the top 10 players with the highest win percentage in Premier League history, a list dominated by Manchester City and Chelsea stars.

Note: only players with 100 or more league appearances are included.

10. Nicolas Otamendi – 68.7%

Not exactly a universally-rated player, Otamendi has nevertheless, made 131 Premier League appearances since signing for Manchester City in 2015, winning side for 90 of those games.

9. David Silva – 69.1%

After joining from Valencia in 2010, Silva has been at the centre of Manchester City’s transformation into one of the best clubs in Europe.

The midfielder has won 208 of his 301 Premier League appearances, picking up four league titles along the way.

8. Fernandinho – 69.1%

Fernandinho has been another great servant for City, winning 150 of his 217 Premier League games so far.

7. Kevin de Bruyne – 69.2%

De Bruyne only made three Premier League appearances for Chelsea before returning to England with Manchester City in 2015.

The Belgian has developed into one of the best midfielders in the world at the Etihad and has now won 101 of his 146 league games.

6. Ricardo Carvalho – 70.4%

Carvalho was an integral part of Jose Mourinho’s first Chelsea team and formed a brilliant partnership with John Terry.

The centre-back made a total of 135 Premier League appearances for the Blues, winning 95 of those games and losing just 14.

5. Michael Ballack – 70.5%

Ballack may have been passed his peak after signing for Chelsea from Bayern Munich in 2006, but the midfielder still tasted victory in 74 of his 105 Premier League games.

4. Nemanja Vidic – 70.6%

Vidic joined Manchester United in January 2006, establishing himself as one of the best centre-backs in the world.

He won five Premier League titles at Old Trafford and boasted a remarkable record of 149 wins from his 211 league games.

3. Claude Makelele – 70.8%

During his five years at Chelsea, Makelele made 144 Premier League appearances and was on the winning side for 102 of those games. You have to be good to have a position named in your honour.

2. Paulo Ferreira – 72.3%

Ferreira was Mourinho’s first Chelsea signing back in 2004 and his time at the club coincided with the most successful period in their history

The defender spent nine years at Stamford Bridge, winning three Premier League titles and enjoying 102 victories from his 141 league games.

1. Mohamed Salah – 73.5%

The only time Salah has been involved in a Premier League defeat at Anfield came when he was part of the Chelsea side that won there in 2014.

113 games. 83 wins. 72 goals. Not bad at all.
