While Mohamed Salah has torn up the Premier League with Liverpool, he’s also been pretty impressive in the Champions League.
Salah has helped the club reach two Champions League finals and scored the opener in their 2-0 win over Tottenham in June 2019.

– Before joining Liverpool, Salah had registered three goals and no assists in 15 Champions League appearances with Basel, Chelsea and Roma.
– Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski have scored more Champions League goals than Salah since the start of the 2017-18 season.
– He scored 10 Champions League goals in 2017-18. Only Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Mario Gomez have scored more in a single Champions League campaign.
– Twenty-two of Salah’s Champions League goals for Liverpool have come in the group stages. Four have come in the last-16, four were in the quarter-finals, two were in the semi-finals and one was in the 2019 final.

– He scored seven goals in the Champions League group stage in 2021-22, more than any Liverpool player has ever scored in a single group stage.
– After scoring against Inter Milan in February 2022, Salah became just the second player to score in eight consecutive Champions League away games.
– He also became the first player to score against both Inter and AC Milan at the San Siro in the same Champions League season.
– No player has scored more Champions League goals for Liverpool than Salah, who is 12 ahead of second-placed Sadio Mane. His record of 0.66 goals per Champions League game for the Reds is also better than any other player.
– Salah has overtaken Steven Gerrard as Liverpool’s all-time top scorer at Anfield in the Champions League with 15 goals.
– He has scored 18 goals away from home for Liverpool in the Champions League, more than any other Liverpool player.
– The winger is currently the second highest-scoring African player in Champions League history after Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.
– Salah now has more Champions League goals than Arjen Robben, Samuel Eto’o, Wayne Rooney, Kaka, Ryan Giggs, Rivaldo and Luis Suarez.
