The 5 players with the most PL goals & assists since Mo Salah’s Liverpool debut

Mohamed Salah has been so consistently dangerous since he signed for Liverpool in 2017 that you can almost take it for granted just how good he is.

Salah has developed into one of the best players in the world under Jurgen Klopp, helping the Reds end their long wait for a league title in 2019-20 and tot up a ridiculous total of points over the course of his six years at Anfield.

We’ve taken a closer look at the five players with the most goals and assists in the Premier League since Salah made his Liverpool debut on August 12, 2017.

=4. Kevin De Bruyne – 130 G&A

With 52 goals and 78 assists since the start of 2017-18, De Bruyne has long established himself as the best midfielder in the Premier League. He’ll no doubt have a key role to play in the second half of this campaign.

=4. Raheem Sterling – 130 G&A

Sterling showed great promise during his breakthrough years at Liverpool but established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in European football since Pep Guardiola arrived at City.

He’s scored 90 goals and set up a further 40 goals in the Premier League since Salah’s arrival.

Still under-rated? After a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge, the England international has been among Chelsea’s more consistent performers this time around.

3. Son Heung-min – 148 G&A

The man who tied Salah for the Premier League Golden Boot in 2021-22 – despite not taking a single penalty – has been among English football’s most consistently dangerous attackers for quite a while now.

Son has scored 97 goals and notched a further 51 assists over the past five seasons, despite his form taking a dip last year. Under Ange Postecoglou, he’s looked back to his very best this time around.

2. Harry Kane – 169 G&A

Tottenham’s former talisman scored 135 goals and set up a further 34 since the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

He’s been just as impressive since joining Bayern Munich too, scoring 24 times and providing five assists in 21 Bundesliga matches.

1. Mohamed Salah – 219 G&A

Salah proved at Fiorentina and Roma that he was a better player than Jose Mourinho ever gave him credit for at Chelsea, but few would have expected quite how good he’d be on his return to the Premier League.

Since signing for Liverpool in the summer of 2017, he’s registered 152 goals and 67 assists since arriving on Merseyside – over 30 more goal contributions than any other player in the league over that period.

Not only has he scored more goals than any other player, but only Kevin De Bruyne has registered more assists.

Liverpool’s Egyptian King stands unparalleled.
