The 5 players with the most PL goals & assists since Mo Salah’s LFC debut
Mohamed Salah has been so consistently dangerous since he signed for Liverpool in 2017 that you can almost take it for granted just how good he is.
Salah has developed into one of the best players in the world under Jurgen Klopp, helping the Reds end their long wait for a league title in 2019-20 and tot up a ridiculous total of points over the course of his five years at Anfield.
We’ve taken a closer look at the five players with the most goals and assists in the Premier League since Salah made his Liverpool debut on August 12, 2017.
5. Jamie Vardy – 112 G&A
The eternal Jamie Vardy has made up for lost time since making his Premier League debut at the age of 27 back in 2014.
He’s proven that his form in Leicester’s title-winning 2015-16 season was no fluke, either, getting the Golden Boot in 2019-20 with 23 goals, one short of his career-best tally that miraculous year.
Only Harry Kane and Salah have scored more Premier League goals than Jamie Vardy since the summer of 2017 – he’s notched 91, with a further 21 assists.
4. Son Heung-min – 118 G&A
The man who tied Salah for the Premier League Golden Boot in 2021-22 – despite not taking a single penalty – has been among English football’s most consistently dangerous attackers for quite a while now.
Son has scored 75 goals and notched a further 43 assists over the past five seasons.
A scandalous omission from the PFA Player of the Year shortlist and Team of the Year.

3. Raheem Sterling – 122 G&A
Sterling showed great promise during his breakthrough years at Liverpool but has since established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in European football since Guardiola arrived at City.
He’s scored 78 goals and set up a further 44 goals in the Premier League since Salah’s arrival.
Still under-rated? Sterling is approaching the final year of his contract and City would surely be daft to let such a vital contributor go.
2. Harry Kane – 136 G&A
The Tottenham talisman has scored 105 goals and set up a further 31 since the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
While he’s not been quite as prolific in terms of goals in the past couple of years, he remains deadly as ever, dropping deeper and playing more of a playmaker role to provide for the aforementioned Son.
No partnership in Premier League history have assisted one another for more goals with Kane more than happy to turn provider. The England captain has notched 23 Premier League assists in the past two seasons – which is more than in his previous six years combined.
1. Mohamed Salah – 164 G&A
Salah proved at Fiorentina and Roma that he was a better player than Jose Mourinho ever gave him credit for at Chelsea, but few would have expected quite how good he’d be on his return to the Premier League.
Since signing for Liverpool in the summer of 2017, he’s broken the record for goals in a 38-game season with 32 in his debut campaign (with a further 10 assists).
In total he’s registered 118 goals and 46 assists since arriving on Merseyside – almost 30 more goal contributions than any other player in the league over that period. Not only has he scored more goals than any other player, but only Kevin De Bruyne has registered more assists.
Liverpool’s Egyptian King stands unparalleled.
