The nine players who have never lost a league game at Anfield for Liverpool

Anfield has become a fortress for Liverpool in recent years, as the Reds have set a new club record of 64 top-flight matches unbeaten at home.

Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in April 2017 remains the last time Liverpool fans saw their team lose at home in the Premier League.

We’ve looked at the nine players who have played more than 10 league games at Anfield for Liverpool and still remain unbeaten.

Alisson Becker

Alisson’s first trip to Anfield resulted in a heavy defeat, as he conceded five goals in Roma’s 5-2 loss to Liverpool in 2018.

The 27-year-old still did enough to impress Jurgen Klopp, however, and Liverpool spent £65million to sign the goalkeeper a few months later.

Alisson has definitely preferred being in the home dressing room at Anfield, winning 35 and drawing three of his 38 league games at the famous stadium.

Virgil van Dijk

Van Dijk has been instrumental to Liverpool’s recent transformation, and the defender is widely regarded as the best centre-back in the world.

The 29-year-old signed from Southampton for £75million in 2018; he has been worth every penny, winning 42 of his 47 league games at Anfield.

Andy Robertson

After an initial slow start following his move from Hull City in 2017, Robertson has established himself as a pivotal part of Klopp’s plans at Liverpool.

The left-back has made 54 league appearances at Anfield over the past three years, winning 47 and drawing the other seven games.

Fabinho

Fabinho has made 32 league appearances at Anfield over the past 18 months and has been on the winning side 30 times.

Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Leicester City in 2019 and their 1-1 draw with Burnley in 2020 are the only league games at home they haven’t won when Fabinho has been involved.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to the Reds from Arsenal in 2017 but injury problems have disrupted his Liverpool career and limited him to 32 league appearances at Anfield.

The midfielder has helped Liverpool pick up 82 points out of a possible 96 from those games, with 25 wins and seven draws.

Naby Keita

Keita arrived at Liverpool in 2018 with big expectations, but the 25-year-old has struggled to nail down a starting spot in their midfield three.

He has only made 24 league appearances at Anfield in two years, but they have won all but three of those games.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Shaqiri has struggled to break into the Liverpool team after signing from Stoke City in 2018, making only 16 league appearances at Anfield.

However, the winger has never let Klopp down when he has been selected, with 15 wins and a draw.

Mohamed Salah

After joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, the winger has made 60 league appearances at Anfield, winning 50 and drawing 10 games.

Salah also has an incredible goalscoring record at Anfield, registering 52 goals in those 60 league games.

The only time Salah has played in a Liverpool league defeat at Anfield was when he helped Chelsea to a 2-0 win over his current side in 2014.

Sadio Mane

Mane has been at Liverpool longer than any other player on this list, but the winger missed their two home league defeats in 2016-17 through injury and international commitments.

The 28-year-old has played in 70 home league fixtures for Liverpool, winning 60 and drawing the other 10.
