The players with the most goals/assists vs rest of ‘big six’: Salah, Aguero, Auba…
A lot of players can struggle with the pressure of playing in a big Premier League game – but others step up and rise to the occasion.
The ‘big six’ for now at least, is still considered to be Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs – and we’ve looked at which players from those clubs have made the most direct goal contributions against their rivals since the start of 2017-18.
We’ve only included Premier League goals and have not counted any penalties.
Six goals and assists
Dele Alli has one assist and five goals against the rest of the top six, with three of those goals coming against rivals Chelsea.
Blues left-back Marcus Alonso also impressively has one assist and five goals against the top six, while Eden Hazard has one goal and five assists despite being at Real Madrid since the summer.
Seven goals and assists
Paul Pogba has three goals and four assists in games against Manchester United’s rivals, but all three of those goals came in April 2018.
Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan both have seven goals and assists against the rest of the top six, while Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has an impressive seven goals but has failed to register an assist.
Eight goals and assists
Harry Kane and Anthony Martial both have six goals and two assists against the top six since the start of 2017-18.
Nine goals and assists
Marcus Rashford has developed into a big-game player at Manchester United over the past couple of years and has seven goals and two assists against the top six.
Bernardo Silva has six goals and a further three assists, with four of those goals coming against Arsenal and Liverpool.
10 goals and assists
Leroy Sane may be sidelined with a serious injury at the moment, but he has a brilliant record against the top-six sides with six goals and four assists against City’s big rivals since 2017-18.
Kevin De Bruyne has the exact same record in the big games as his team-mate.

11 goals and assists
Christian Eriksen looks set to leave Spurs this year and will be a huge loss for them in the big games if he does. The 27-year-old has five goals and six assists against his rivals.
Alexandre Lacazette is another player who steps up when they play against the rest of the top six with six goals and five assists in those games.
12 goals and assists
Roberto Firmino’s value to Liverpool goes beyond goals and assists, but the forward still makes a difference in the big games. The Brazilian has nine goals and three assists against the other sides in the top six.
13 goals and assists
Raheem Sterling has eight goals and three assists against the top six sides, but the winger particularly enjoys playing against Spurs with half of those goals coming against the north Londoners.
Sergio Aguero has consistently delivered for Man City in the big games since he joined the club and has nine goals and three assists against the big six since the start of 2017-18.
14 goals and assists
Mohamed Salah’s performances in the big games have been questioned over the last few months, but the Liverpool star actually has an amazing record against the traditional big boys in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has 10 goals and four assists against Liverpool’s big-six rivals with three goals each against Spurs and Arsenal.
