Barcelona, Spain. 23th Sep, 2023. Joao Cancelo celebrates after scoring a goal during the LaLiga EA Sports match between FC Barcelona and RC Celta de Vigo at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona, Spain.

15 things we loved this weekend: Mane, Kane, Fernandes, Cancelo…

This weekend saw Arsenal and Tottenham play out a North London derby that lived up to the hype, Barcelona produce a ridiculous three-goal comeback, Harry Kane smash Bundesliga records and Newcastle score eight goals with eight different players.

Elsewhere, Manchester City and Inter have kept up their 100% winning records but Real Madrid’s fell after a 3-1 defeat away to city rivals Atletico. We’re only just catching our breath now as the dust settles on a frantic couple of days.

Here are 15 of our favourite moments from the weekend’s action.

Sadio Mane

Old friends reunited. Kind of.

Harry Kane

Unbelievable display.

Jamie Vardy

Clearly been studying Emmanuel Adebayor.

Daniel Farke

Tekkers.

This own goal

Here’s a new one.

Bruno Fernandes

Can he do this? Probably not. Wholesome, though. Weirdest bromance ever.

Bukayo Saka

Top trolling in the North London Derby.

James Maddison

A decent comeback in more ways than one.

Jonny Howson

He’s made the Saints look like absolute chumps with this.

Man City’s kitman

An assist Kevin De Bruyne would be jealous of.

Joao Cancelo

Two of whatever the hell he’s had, please mate.

Federico Dimarco

A very satisfying hit.

Achraf Hakimi

Pick that one out.

Toni Kroos

Los Blancos might have lost the Madrid derby but that is outrageous.

These Paraguayan commentators

Peter Drury the best in the biz? Pffft.
