Anyone who plays Fantasy Premier League will have a love for a defender who registers assists – but can you name the 20 with the most in Premier League history?

We haven’t included Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia, who played as wingers for a long time, but there are a few other players on the list who sometimes played further up but are predominantly known as defenders.

We’ve given you 15 minutes to name the top 20 but have only listed the number of assists for each player as a clue. An asterisk indicates a player is still active in the Premier League.
