Celtic striker Tony Watt scores their second goal in a famous 2-1 Champions League victory against Barcelona, Celtic Park, Glasgow, Scotland, November 7th 2012

Can you name Celtic’s XI from their 2-1 win over Barcelona in 2012?

On November 7th, 2012, Celtic produced one of the most famous wins in the club’s history, beating Barcelona 2-1 at Celtic Park. How well do you remember that side?

Neil Lennon’s team went on to finish runners-up in the Champions League group behind that era-defining Barcelona side that won La Liga with a hundred points that season. Celtic were well beaten by Juventus in the first round of the knockout stage but produced a performance for the ages en route to the last 16.

A 94th-minute Jordi Alba match-winner gave Barcelona a 2-1 victory at Camp Nou in the reverse fixture, but a fortnight later Celtic got their revenge. We’re asking you to name the starting XI Lennon went with that unforgettable night in Glasgow.

Barcelona registered 83% possession at Celtic Park and had 25 shots to the hosts’ five, but it was Celtic that took the three points. You might remember substitute Tony Watt sealing the result late on before Lionel Messi’s injury-time consolation, but we’re asking for the players that started the match.

“This is up there with anything I have done in my life,” Lennon told reporters after the match.

“As a player I won things, had a special 10 years under Martin O’Neill [at Leicester and Celtic] and played in some great teams, beating Manchester United and getting to the last 16 of the Champions League.

“As a manager, I don’t know if I will top this. I hope I do, because I am still young and am still learning. But this is up there with anything I have achieved, not just in my football career but in my life.”

A decade on, it’s safe to say that remains Lennon’s crowning glory.

The time from the office to beat is 03:35. Once you’ve tried that, why not try your hand at naming every player to win the Champions League and World Cup.
