Seventeen different nations can consider themselves historic powerhouses of international football, having made it to 10 or more World Cups. How many can you name?

Nowadays, we think of the likes of Portugal, Japan and Australia as mainstays of the World Cup, but that’s not always been the case historically speaking. They’ve all made it to fewer than 10 World Cups.

We’ve given you 10 minutes, and the only clue you’re getting is the total number of World Cup appearances for every nation (including 2026 if they’ve qualified).
