Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho celebrates scoring the winning goal against Fulham at Craven Cottage, London, November 2022.

Watch: Garnacho mobbed by Man Utd team-mates after late winner

Alejandro Garnacho scored his first Premier League goal as Manchester United stole a late victory at Fulham – & the 18-year-old was mobbed by his jubiliant team-mates after the match had ended.

Christian Eriksen scored the opening goal in the first half, then Dan James equalised before the Argentine teenager scored in stoppage time to make the score 2-1 and take all three points back to Manchester.

Former United defender Gary Neville was chuffed with Garnacho and told Sky Sports viewers: “If you’re a young player at Man United you’ve got to have arrogance.

“You have to have ego, he looks like he’s got that and passion as well. He’s just delivered a moment of brilliance and he’s broken Fulham’s hearts. They played so well in the second half, James scored but Garnacho the hero.”

“Just that Premier League wow moment, the piece of play, played a one-two with Eriksen,” Jamie Redknapp added.

“We heard for a while the talent of this guy, he’s showed it on the world stage. Unbelievable goal, assist in midweek and last minute, how good must he be feeling? Look at his face he’s dying to smile.

“”He’s going to be a star. He could be in a boyband, whatever he wants. Look at him, he’s got the world at his feet. There will be a clamour in his country, the week he’s had and if there’s no injuries he’ll miss out but what a talent. Plenty more World Cups to look forward to…

“If you look at the passes he made in midweek, he can go left foot, right foot, it looks like he’s got the full package.”

And Garnacho was on the recieveing end of some delighted celebrations from United players and their manager Erik ten Hag.
