Brazil's goalkeeper Alisson and Son Heung-min of South Korea greet each other after their Round of 16 match

Watch: Brazil’s Alisson shows class in wholesome moment with Son

Brazil proved to be too much for South Korea in the end as they ran out as 4-1 winners on the night, but that didn’t stop Liverpool’s Alisson Becker from showing his class after the match.

Tite’s side looked electric for the opening 45 minutes as South Korea struggled to get to grips with the pace and flair of Brazil’s attacking tro.

Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta were all on target for Brazil in the first half and it’s probably fair to say they took their foot off the gas in the second half.

Paik Seung-ho was on hand to score a consolation goal for South Korea with a fine strike in the 76th minute to make the scoreline a little less damming.

Alisson was substituted in the second half to make way for 34-year-old backup goalkeeper Weverton. With his second-half inclusion, every player in Brazil’s squad has now got their chance in the tournament.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has previously said that he believes Alisson to be the best goalkeeper in world football right now.

“If you know how a football team works, you know that goalkeepers are very often separate so I don’t see them all the time,” the Liverpool manager explained in February via Liverpool Echo.

“I see them in decisive moments and the development is absolutely top class but Alisson Becker is the best goalkeeper in the world for me.

“There are top goalies out there but this keeper (Alisson) is insane.”

Going off his track record since joining Liverpool it would be hard to disagree with Klopp’s assessment of the Brazilian goalkeeper who stands a great chance of winning the World Cup.

Brazil have exceptional strength in depth all over the pitch. Just looking at their goalkeeping department for example they have both Alisson and Ederson to choose between.

At the top end of the pitch they have amazing quality which could carry them to World Cup glory. Next up for Tite’s side will be a test against Croatia in the quarter-finals.

Croatia themselves had to come through a tough test against Japan. They managed to keep their neve during the penalty shootout and will now face Brazil.

When the full-time whistle had blown in Brazil’s match, Alisson showcased his class as he and Spurs forward Son Heung-min shared a moment together.
