Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is professional football’s all-time top goalscorer, and he appears to have taught his son a few of his tricks.

Ronaldo recently scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win against Tottenham to break Josef Bican’s record for the most goals in competitive matches.

While the 37-year-old is now coming towards the end of his illustrious career, he’ll be hoping that his son can follow in his footsteps.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr plays for United’s academy and seemingly has the same goalscoring instincts as his great father. The youngster scored for United’s Under-12s team in a comprehensive victory over EF Girones Sabat.

After poaching home from close range, he wheeled away and pulled out the iconic ‘Siuuu’ celebration before his team-mates embraced him.

His dad will be looking to show off his customary showpiece celebration a few more times in the league before the end of the season.

Ralf Rangnick is in desperate need of some Ronaldo magic to inspire the Red Devils to what seems like an unlikely top four finish.

With Spurs finding form under Antonio Conte, and United throwing away points on a weekly basis, a drastic turnaround in fortunes is required quickly.

“It doesn’t help at all to look at the table every weekend and speculate and anticipate what might happen, how many points might we need,” Rangnick said in early April. “Right now we are not the favourites, for sure, for number four [in the table].

“I’m not a fortune teller, so I don’t know where Manchester United will be next season. For us, it’s my job, our job, to finish the season on the highest and best possible note.”
