Watch: ‘What’s Salah giving you?’ – Spurs’ Eric Dier jokes with Tim Krul

Tottenham’s Eric Dier jokingly asked Tim Krul if Mohamed Salah had paid him to help prevent Son Heung-min from taking the Premier League’s Golden Boot.

Son went into the final game week of the season one goal behind Salah and hoped to add to his tally against an already relegated Norwich City.

But the Norwich goalkeeper produced some magnificent saves – including a reaction stop at point-blank range in the second half – to prevent the South Korea international from netting.

Dier jokingly asked the Netherlands international if Salah had tried to pay him to perform well. Cameras for SpursTV caught the defender saying: “What’s Salah giving you?”

Son eventually managed to score a brace against Norwich and shared the Golden Boot with Salah, who came off the bench to score in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Wolves.

“Before I scored, I missed a big chance as well, a one-v-one situation, but I still believed it, to be honest,” Son told Tottenham’s official website after the game.

“Everyone was pushing me. If I was on my own, I couldn’t make it, but everyone next to me was pushing me – Lucas when he came on, Stevie, Eric, H, Ben, every player next to me said, ‘Sonny, you’re going to do this, believe it, you’ll get another chance’, and then I scored, then when I scored the second goal, it was incredible.

“Today, I missed the easiest chances and scored the toughest! I’m really grateful for the team. They helped me a lot, especially all season, but today, at 3-0, everyone was like, ‘Come on Sonny, you deserve this’. I really appreciated that.

“It feels amazing. When I saw it for the first time, I was quite emotional. When I was a kid, I dreamt of this. It’s incredible to have this award, literally, in my hands.”
