Watch: Fabrizio Romano provides BIG update on Jude Bellingham

Fabrizio Romano has provided all of the latest details when it comes to Jude Bellingham and where he might end up next.

The 19-year-old is probably the most in-demand player in European football right now. Now as an established star for England and Borussia Dortmund, several top clubs are trying to tie him down.

Bellingham had an excellent World Cup campaign with England and he has been one of the standout stars of the Bundesliga this season. Dortmund currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga are are nine points away from leaders Bayern Munich.

Romano took to his YouTube channel to provide the latest update on the Bellingham race and he has clarified the three clubs who are most interested in his signature right now.

“One week it’s done with Real Madrid, one week it’s done with Liverpool, one week it’s Chelsea, Man City. The reality is that all these clubs are pushing.

“Real Madrid are having contacts on [the] players’ side, especially for Bellingham. Same with Liverpool because Jurgen Klopp is pushing a lot, so these two clubs are pushing.

“But we don’t have to underestimate Manchester City because Man City too are trying to enter this Bellingham race, they have a relationship with Borussia Dortmund too.”

While all of these teams are trying to negotiate the best deal, it does seem as if any potential agreement would see Bellingham leave in the summer, rather than in January.

Romano adds: “So there are talks between all these clubs and people close to Jude Bellingham. Let me clarify that Mark Bellingham, the farther, is the only person that is taking care of it.

“So discussions are ongoing, but it is not something for January, 99% it will be something for the summer unless something crazy happens so this is why there is still time. Bellingham is taking his time too, but these clubs are in the race.”

Of the clubs who have been linked with the 19-year-old, Liverpool are probably most in need of strengthening their midfield. As the likes of Thiago, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are all over the age of 30.

Enzo Fernandez has been another player on their radar. Romano previously explained: “Liverpool never wanted to invest €120million in a midfielder in January because their main target is Jude Bellingham, who is not – as of now – available in January. Enzo is appreciated by Liverpool, but they never made that kind of proposal and never triggered the clause.

“But in the summer it could be a different story because Real Madrid have sent their scouts to follow Enzo in the first months of the season and also the World Cup, but they are never investing that money on a midfielder.”

Bellingham seems to be Liverpool’s primary target, but they will have to fend off plenty of other suitors to get this deal over the line.
