Watch: Man Utd loanee Tahith Chong assists late winner for Werder Bremen

After a difficult start to his loan spell at Werder Bremen, Manchester United’s Tahith Chong provided a real moment of quality in their 1-0 win over Mainz.

The Netherlands Under-21 international has only started three Bundesliga games this term and struggled to make a major impact.

The 21-year-old was brought on to replace Yuyo Osaka against Mainz with 72 minutes gone and the scoreline at 0-0.

He managed to come up with exactly what Werder Bremen needed, getting a cross in from the right wing for fellow substitute Eren Dinkci to head past Robin Zentner in the Mainz goal.

This match-winning moment will only make things even more satisfying for Chong after the tough times he has had to endure.

United will hope that the youngster is able to kick on and continue making an impact this term, ready to return to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.
