Watch: Marcus Rashford’s pre-match skills will make your jaw drop
Marcus Rashford was the matchwinner once again as Manchester United beat Everton 3-1 in the FA Cup, but we cannot stop watching the insane skills he was demonstrating in the pre-match warm-up.
The 25-year-old was undeniably United’s standout performer against the Toffees, setting up two goals before adding a third late on from the penalty spot to bag his seventh goal in his seventh straight home game.
Rashford has already bettered his tally from last campaign and his spot-kick ensured he now has 13 in all competitions so far.
The best return of his career came during the 2019/20 season in which he bagged 22, there is every chance he betters that under Erik ten Hag this term if he can remain fit.
And he was even on the receiving end of praise from Roy Keane, the lucky blighter.
“The beauty of tonight is that is what I expect from him,” Keane said on ITV’s coverage of the game. “I’m not surprised by his performance tonight. He is becoming one of the main players for Manchester United. Can he get them back to competing for trophies?
“He is taking responsibility. I expect goals and assists from him every week now, he is obviously playing with confidence. He is going to go past you in one-on-one situations. You can’t be too critical of the Everton defenders.”
Those inside Old Trafford would have been tranfixed by Rashford’s show of flicks and tricks as the home side warmed up for the FA Cup encounter.
No wonder that Casemiro, in a recent interview with ESPN Brazil, said: “I’m gonna be very honest with you; I was really surprised with the player Rashford is.
“In my opinion, especially knowing the player off the pitch, I can tell you that if he’s doing well, he can be one of the top five players in the world. He has an incredible way of hitting the ball, he’s got strength, he’s quick, is very clever playing.
