Watch: Anthony Elanga scores brilliant goal during Man Utd training
Anthony Elanga appears to have picked up where he left off season with a brilliant solo goal in Manchester United training.
After impressing with United’s Under-23s in 2020-21, Elanga was promoted to the first team and scored against Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season.
The winger was then called up to Sweden’s Under-21s and made a brilliant first impression, scoring two goals in two appearances.
He’s back at Carrington for pre-season and displayed his excellent pace and footwork before firing an unstoppable strike past the goalkeeper during a training game.
Elanga has been named in United’s Xl for their friendly against Derby County and will be hoping to stake a claim for a regular first-team spot.
“I think they can impress me, I’m sure they’ll try to! The young kids get a chance because they’re good players,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV. “It’s about seeing who can handle playing with the more experienced ones, and who fits in with the group.”
