Arsenal loanee Miguel Azeez scored his first goal for Portsmouth during their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace’s Under-21s.

Azeez, who came through Arsenal’s academy, made one Europa League appearance last season and joined Portsmouth in search of regular first-team football.

But he’s made just two appearances in League One so far this season and Arsenal are reportedly considering recalling the midfielder.

“Rumours are rumours,” Azeez recently told The News. “While I’m here I want to give my best and try to help the team to progress while being a good team-mate.

“As a person, I’m always thinking about things, but while I’m here and whether I’m playing or not I always make sure my attitude stays the same to give the best for my team and my family.

“I make sure I’m not a negative person around the training ground if I’m not playing. But when I get the opportunity, I’ll make sure I’ll take it.”

The 19-year-old then started the EFL Trophy game against Palace’s Under-21s and opened the scoring with a great strike in the 32nd minute.
