Watch: Chelsea youngster gets revenge on Denmark man after being clattered

Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu showed he is willing to give as good as he gets in Wales’ defeat to Denmark in the Nations League.

Ampadu was clattered by Denmark’s Kasper Dolberg by the touchline, prompting a melee between the two sets of players.

The teenager later decided to get his own back on the Ajax man, earning a yellow card and the plaudits of his manager.

“I just thought it was a cheap shot,” Wales boss Ryan Giggs said. “You’ve got a lad who has just turned 18, broke his leg when he was 17.

“It was a bad tackle… I was proud of the players, how they reacted. That’s how it should be.

“I want to see it, provided they don’t go overboard. It shows they are not going to get pushed around. It shows tremendous character. It’s the reason I got involved myself, too.”
